JUST GOT ACCEPTED TO HAMPSHIRE COLLEGE!!!!!!!!! SO HAPPY, IT IS DEFINITELY ONE OF MY TOP CHOICES
and with a 40,000 (10,000 per year) scholarship!!
I also got wait listed at University of Puget Sound and Seattle University.. but its okay.. at least its not a rejection.

I am so disheartened. My sister had went to sleep visibly upset for what I assumed to be the melancholy normalcy teenage angst presents. Right now after finishing some reading I went in search for my sketch pad and happened to come upon our newly purchased camera on the desk and saw it was still on. Looking at the previous recordings I saw that the most recent was of my sister filming her University of Chicago decision. Ultimately she was rejected, and just seeing the crestfallen look on her face nearly teared my soul. I’m so angry and mad because if you know her at all you would have known her undying love for the school (it was literally all she talked about). I know admissions is a luck in the draw but I feel compelled to do something, talk to someone.
She has battled homelessness, has started her own non for-profit organization, and wrote one the most quirkiest and amazing essay in which she slaved over for months.She is more than deserving compared to the jerk who cheats constantly in my AP Gov. class and only applied because of the name recognition, She applied because she felt it the only college she could see herself growing into.
I know this has turned into a big web of venting declaring how qualified she is to be an UChicago student, but I can’t say I apologize. So much adolescent stress coupled with the anonymity of the future is responsible for the bent up emotion I feel inside.
I must do something.
On a lighter note, I got into Goucher with a 40,000 (10,000 per year) scholarship.
So I just bought these super cute wedges/platforms from Goodwill yesterday for $7.99 for my bday tomorrow. This morning I decided to wear them for Valentines day instead and before my 2nd class began the whole sole part of one of the shoes came loose. I was basically walking around with one heel on my right foot and a sandal on my left until I found some scissors to cut the platform off the other shoe so they look like a regular pair of sandals. So frustrated that this is like the 4 time I bought shoes from Goodwill and they end up breaking or something right after I buy them. I know the saying “you get what you pay for” but dang can’t a girl find some quality shoes on a cheap budget…………
so let me get my handy dandy super glue!
Btw did you just notice how I expertly sneaked that part about my birthday being tomorrow in the first sentence. Clever eh?
So yeah, I’m turning 18 babyyyyyyy!! woot woottttt
